Is Layerly free?
Layerly's editing tools are free, with no account or watermark. Only our Google advertising supports the site; Google approval is currently under review and ad availability is not guaranteed.
Where do my files go?
Both editors process artwork locally in your browser. Layerly provides no artwork upload server, cloud file library, sign-in or AI upload feature. Download files to keep your work.
Can I edit and save a PSD?
Full Studio imports and exports raster PSD layers. Advanced text, smart objects, masks and layer styles may be rasterized, omitted or produce a warning. Keep the original and inspect a reopened copy; perfect PSD compatibility is not promised.
Which editor works best on a phone?
Quick Paint supports touch for lighter painting. Full Studio is most practical on a desktop with a keyboard and larger display. Browser memory limits can affect either editor.
Are projects saved automatically?
There is no cloud autosave. Save each editor's own project backup regularly; Quick Paint uses a .layerly project and Full Studio uses its own JSON project. These project formats are different. Exported PNG and JPG are flattened images.
What advertising and tracking are used?
Layerly has no own analytics. Our Google ads request nonpersonalized delivery and may process IP, device, cookies and ad activity. Approval is under review. Ads remain paused in EEA, UK, Switzerland and unverified US consent states until verified consent handling is available. There are no third-party editor ads.
